Mascoma Audio Visual committed significant effort to covering a track and field event at Mascoma High School. We streamed every event held that day, including the impressive achievement of a new state record in the boys’ discus, set by Barnaby Diehn of Mascoma. Our live commentators: Carter Goodness, Tristan Clack, and Kane Bergeron added vitality and professionalism to the broadcast, and we wrapped up the event with interviews of the athletes who participated.
This was a considerable undertaking for MAV, representing a first for us. After several months of planning, we devoted all our resources to bringing it to life and the results were rewarding. Although we faced a few initial issues, we managed to resolve them promptly, resulting in a well-executed MAV production. This is something we had not been able to achieve in previous years. I take particular pride in having made this event accessible to families everywhere, because every parent should have the chance to see their children compete, no matter where they may be.
We also spoke to Zachary Kenney, the current Vice President of Mascoma AV, who shared his insights about the event: “During the setup, I looked around at everything I helped to make this possible. I was really surprised we were able to pull this off. I am thankful for everyone who contributed to making the live stream happen and those who streamed it live. Being the vice president of Mascoma AV is something I am proud to be part of.”
