Our History
Mascoma AV Club started in 2020-2021 school year. Students at Mascoma Valley Regional High School learned how to fly drones, run stage productions, film, live stream and so much more. It grew from 6 students to 22 at the end of the 2024-2025 school year.
The students of the Mascoma AV Club produced and executed their own musical on top of running tech for the high school and middle school musicals, created countless newsletter videos, narrative projects, podcasts, live radio, learned industrial standard tools, ran lights, sound and projection for town deliberative sessions and town meetings. They run tech for community and school events almost daily.
Students were able to get credit for high school classes through the Extended Learning Opportunity Program.

Our Mission
Mascoma Audio Visual exists to connect the Mascoma Valley through media, technology, education, and storytelling.
With the support of students, staff members, community members, and alumni, MAV provides opportunities for people to learn, create, and share meaningful content. Through live event production, livestreaming, filmmaking, digital media, and creative technology, students gain real-world experience while helping tell the stories of their community.
Our mission is to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and create opportunities where students and community members can explore the intersection of art, engineering, and technology.
Together, we believe that creativity has no limits. With the right tools, support, and opportunity, anyone can create something meaningful.

Mascoma Audio Visual is a student-driven organization built on leadership, collaboration, and creative ownership.
While supported by faculty, community partners, and mentors, students lead the vision, production, and growth of MAV. From planning and directing to filming, editing, graphics, livestreaming, and live production, students take responsibility for every stage of the creative process.
Through a student leadership structure, members develop real-world skills in communication, project management, teamwork, and media production. Students are not just learning about technology—they are using it to create, solve problems, and make an impact.
At its core, MAV exists to give students ownership. The program grows as far as its members are willing to push it—creatively, technically, and collaboratively.
